Chasret Aslanbechevich Tlezeri
Chasret Aslanbetschewitsch Tlezeri ( Russian Хазрет Асланбечевич Тлецери ; * July 12, 1958 ) is a former judoka who competed for the USSR . He was world champion in 1983 and four-time European champion.
Athletic career
Chasret Tlezeri fought in the super lightweight, the weight class up to 60 kilograms. He won the Soviet championships in 1981 and 1982. At the European Championships in Rostock in 1982 , he defeated Andrzej Dziemianiuk from Poland in the semifinals . In the final, he defeated the Bulgarian Atanas Gertschew . A year later he defeated Klaus-Peter Stollberg from the GDR in the semifinals of the European Championships in Paris in 1983 , in the final he defeated Andrzej Dziemianiuk. In July 1983 Tlezeri won the Spartakiad in Moscow, but was defeated in the finals of the Soviet championships Anatoly Suchkov . The 1983 World Championships also took place in Moscow . Tlezeri defeated Klaus-Peter Stollberg in the second round and the Spaniard Carlos Sotillo in the quarter-finals . This was followed by victories over Edward Liddie from the United States in the semi-finals and over the Hungarian Tamás Bujkó in the final.
1984 Tlezeri won again at the Soviet championships. At the European Championships in Liège he defeated the French Patrick Roux in the semi-finals and the Italian Felice Mariani in the final . Because of the Olympic boycott , Tlezeri could not participate in the Olympic Games in Los Angeles . At the alternative games of the socialist states in Warsaw he reached the final, but lost there to Andrzej Dziemianiuk. In 1985 Tlezeri won his fourth title in a row at the European Championships in Hamar , defeating Patrick Roux in the semi-finals and the Romanian Gheorghe Dani in the final. Two months later he won the Soviet championship again. At the 1985 World Championships in Seoul, he lost to West German Peter Jupke in the semifinals , and Tlezeri received a bronze medal. In 1986 at the European Championships in Belgrade he also received a bronze medal after losing to Peter Jupke in the semifinals. Tlezeri won his last international medal at the European Championships in Paris in 1987 , when he defeated the West German Helmut Dietz in the semifinals and defeated Patrick Roux in the final.
