Tadanori Koshino

Tadanori Koshino ( Japanese 越野 忠 則 , Koshino Tadanori ; born April 3, 1966 in Shiranuka , Kushiro sub-prefecture ) is a former Japanese judoka . He was Olympic third in 1992 and world champion in extra light weight in 1991, the weight class up to 60 kilograms.

Athletic career

The 1.59 m tall Tadanori Hoshino won the 1988 Asian Championships in Damascus. In his first fight Koshino defeated the Hungarian József Wágner through Ippon, Koshino also won his fights against the Chinese Chen Cailiang and in the quarterfinals against the Austrian Manfred Hiptmair early. In the semifinals he lost to Nazim Hüseynov by Waza-Ari. With an Ippon against the Frenchman Philippe Pradayrol , Tadanori Koshino secured a bronze medal.
