The Chiaksan National Park ( 치악산 국립 공원 ) is after the Odaesan National Park and the Seoraksan National Park the third and at the same time the smallest national park in the South Korean province of Gangwon-do . Its name means pheasant peak and comes from an old folk tale according to which a hunter saved the life of a pheasant.
