Christian Lehmann (cameraman)

Christian Lehmann (born July 20, 1934 in Halbau ) is a German cameraman .

Life

Christian Lehmann was born the son of a teacher. In 1953 he completed his school education with the Abitur, in order to then begin studying at the University of Graphic and Book Art in Leipzig , which he broke off after three semesters in order to study in the camera department at the German University for Film Art Potsdam-Babelsberg from 1955 .

From 1959 to 1961 he worked in the DEFA studio for documentary films as assistant to the cameraman Wolfgang Randel , until he worked there as an independent cameraman with the most important DEFA documentary film directors from 1961. He was involved in more than 200 films.

Christian Lehmann is married to the cutter Bärbel Lehmann . The family lives in Berlin .
