Christian Leins

Christian Leins (* 1965 in Pforzheim ) is a German music producer and music manager .

After studying conducting and choir conducting at the Mozarteum in Salzburg with Michael Gielen , Nikolaus Harnoncourt and Walter Hagen-Groll , which he graduated with distinction and the Austrian State Prize for Special Artistic Achievement, Christian Leins became Giuseppe Sinopoli's musical assistant in 1991 . He also worked for several years as a recording manager for ORF radio Vienna (Ö1). After assisting Thomas M. Stein in the management of the Bertelsmann Music Group , Christian Leins turned to the music business and was Artists & Repertoire Director of BMG's classical label from 2001 to 2005 . He then switched to Deutsche Grammophon . There, he worked as an executive producer , A & R, since 2008 as Director of A & R . From May 2011 to the end of April 2013, Christian Leins was the "Director of the Musical Promotion Program" and a member of the Bertelsmann Stiftung management team in Gütersloh .

The artists produced by Christian Leins included u. a. the conductors Gustavo Dudamel , Nikolaus Harnoncourt, Daniel Harding , Thomas Hengelbrock , Giuseppe Sinopoli and Günter Wand , as well as the Los Otros / Hille Perl ensemble and the Hagen Quartet as well as numerous well-known soloists, including Martha Argerich , Elīna Garanča , Hilary Hahn , Alice Sara Ott , Maria João Pires , Yuja Wang , Rafał Blechacz , Christian Gerhaher , Martin Grubinger , Gidon Kremer , Lang Lang and Vadim Repin . Many of his productions have won national and international awards, including gold and platinum records .
