Christian Pruvost

Christian Pruvost (* around 1980) is a French jazz and improvisation musician ( trumpet , composition ).

Live and act

Pruvost has been part of the Impressions group around Stefan and Peter Orins since 2002 , with whom two albums were released. Ipteravox was the first sound carrier to be released under his own name in 2010 and was released internationally in 2012. Pruvost stands for All About Jazz with his improvisations, in which he explores the sound spectrum of the trumpet, in the tradition of innovators such as Bill Dixon , Nate Wooley , Peter Evans , Franz Hautzinger , Birgit Ulher and Mazen Kerbaj .

From the 2010s he also worked with Benjamin Duboc and Sophie Agnel as well as Sylvain Guerineau, Didier Lasserre , Jean-Luc Petit, with whom he recorded in 2010 ( Primare Cantus ), and with Didier Aschour , with whom he Round the World of Sound directed an event with the musician collective Muzzix and the theater ensemble Dedalus . From 2011 he also played with Satoko Fujii , Natsuki Tamura and Peter Orins in the French-Japanese quartet Kaze , with whom he has recorded four albums so far (2018) and toured Japan, Israel and North America. In the music project PCM Bla∫t Pruvost played with Maxime Morel (tuba) and Samuel Carpentier (trombone), in the Circum Grand Orchestra and in the improvisation orchestra La Pieuvre under the direction of Olivier Benoît ; He also forms a duo with the bass player Nicolas Mahieux and was a member of the ensembles Flu (o), Arsis and Zoone Libre Vazytouille .
