Christine Magdalena von Pfalz-Zweibrücken-Kleeburg (born May 27, 1616 in Nyköping ; † August 14, 1662 in Karlsburg Castle ) was a Countess Palatinate of Zweibrücken-Kleeburg and by marriage Margravine of Baden-Durlach .

Life

Christine Magdalena was the eldest daughter of Count Palatine Johann Kasimir von Zweibrücken-Kleeburg (1589–1652) from his marriage to Princess Katharina (1584–1638), daughter of King Karl IX. of Sweden .

Christine Magdalena's brother became King of Sweden in 1654 as Karl X. Gustav . In 1633, a marriage between Christines and Bernhard von Sachsen-Weimar was unsuccessful .

After the death of her mother, Christine Magdalene was entrusted by the Swedish imperial estates with the supervision of the education of the Swedish Queen Christine . This led them until their marriage in 1642.

Christine Magdalene married Margrave Friedrich VI on November 30, 1642 in Stockholm . of Baden-Durlach (1617–1677). In 1656 the margravine received Kutzenhausen from her brother Karl X. , which the margraves sold to the counts of Hanau in 1705 .

The margravine, described as excellent, was buried in the royal crypt in Pforzheim .
