Christine Wodrascka

Christine Wodrascka (born June 15, 1957 in Aix-en-Provence ) is a French pianist who moves between creative jazz , free improvisational music and contemporary composition music .

Live and act

Wodrascka, whose grandfather is Charles Rostaing , studied musicology and piano after taking classical piano lessons. In Bordeaux she received an interpretation award; then she became a member of the improvisation group Nothing Toulouse . She has performed with musicians such as Marion Brown , Curtis Clark, Yves Romain, Hans Koch , François Raulin , Joëlle Léandre and Ramón López . She recorded with Sophie Agnel , the Chiens mechants (with Philippe Deschepper ) or the Pianokwartet (with Fred Van Hove ). Wodrascka has also performed in the following ensembles: Système friche , with Jacques Di Donato and Xavier Charles , Vents d'Est under the direction of Michel Montanaro, in the trio with Joëlle Léandre and Maarten ten Horn, in the Trio Krizda with Gunda Gottschalk and Isabelle Duthoit , in the quartet with Jean-Marc Montera , Paul Lovens and Floros Floridis , in the Alex Grillo Quartet l'Amour (with Didier Petit & Hélène Labarrière ), the Boumag Connexion with Véronique Magdelenat, Bernard Santacruz and Lucia Recio and the KWAC quartet with Géraldine Keller , Sophie Agnel and Jean-Luc Cappozzo . She also worked in the AGiiiiR quartet with André Goudbeek , Peter Jacquemyn and Lê Quan Ninh . She presented herself at numerous festivals in France, but also at the Total Music Meeting and the Zurich Taktlos Festival .
