Christoph Martin Wieland Translator Award
The Christoph-Martin-Wieland Translator Prize is a German literary prize that is awarded every two years (in September) in the Wieland town of Biberach an der Riss for outstanding translations.
It ties in with Christoph Martin Wieland , who was the first to translate Shakespeare's dramas . It is financed by the Baden-Württemberg Ministry for Science, Research and the Arts and announced by the Friends of the Association for the Promotion of Literary and Scientific Translations .
The award is endowed with 12,000 euros.
