Christoph Croisé (born December 3, 1993 in Filderstadt ) is a German-French-Swiss cellist .

Life

Christoph Croisé received his first cello lessons from Katharina Kühne at the age of seven. Since 2007 he has been tutored by Alexander Neustroev. Since 2013, Croisé has been studying with Wolfgang-Emanuel Schmidt at the Berlin University of the Arts .

He also received significant artistic impulses from Steven Isserlis , Michael Sanderling , David Geringas , Walter Grimmer and Frans Helmerson .

At the age of 17 he made his debut at Carnegie Hall New York , where he has since performed regularly. Further appearances have taken him to the Tonhalle Zurich , the Berlin Philharmonic , the Wigmore Hall London, the Konzerthaus Vienna , the Munich Residence , the Capella St. Petersburg, the Saint Petersburg Philharmonic and the Baku Philharmonic .

As a soloist he has performed with the Musikkollegium Winterthur , the Symphony Orchestra St. Petersburg / Russia, the Bern Symphony Orchestra , the State Symphony Orchestra Baku / Azerbaijan, the Camerata Zurich , the Munich Radio Orchestra , the Camerata Switzerland , the Sichuan Symphony Orchestra , the Southwest German Philharmonic Konstanz , the Symphony Orchestra of the Staatskapelle St. Petersburg / Russia, the Collegium Musicum Basel , the Chamber Orchestra of the Bayrische Philharmonie, the Izmir State Symphony Orchestra , the Orquesta Sinfonie de Michoacan, the Radio Symphony Orchestra RTSH Tirana, the Harbin Symphony Orchestra, the Mulhouse Symphony Orchestra and the Philharmonic Orchestra Budejovice on, u. a. under the direction of M. Sanderling , M. Venzago , D. Boyd , L. Gendre, K. Griffiths , A. Guliyev, and D. Botinis.

Several live broadcasts were broadcast by radio and television, including the Schumann Cello Concerto with the Munich Radio Orchestra in March 2013 by Bayerischer Rundfunk . Christoph Croisé a. a. with Dmitri Sitkovetsky , Mayuko Kamio , Alexander Zemtsov, Bartłomiej Nizioł , Oliver Schnyder Oxana Shevchenko, Nikita Mndoyants, Lorenzo Soulès and Alexander Panfilov.

Christoph Croisé was a guest at the “Musical Olympus” festival in St. Petersburg, New York and Baku, the Lucerne Festival , the Davos “Young Artists in Concert” festival , the Menuhin Festival Gstaad , the Salzkammergut Festwochen Gmunden , the Black Forest Music Festival, the festival de Sully, the Belfast International Arts Festival , the Emilia-Romagna Festival and the Festival de musique de Wissembourg.

In May 2015 his debut CD with Oxana Shevchenko was released on the Quartz Classics label. His second CD (Summer Night, with Othmar Schoeck's Cello Concerto) was released in February 2018 on the GENUIN classics label. His third CD (Haydn, Vivaldi Cello Concertos) was released in March 2019 on the AVIE Records label. and received the Supersonic Award from Pizzicato Magazine and the "Clef D'Or" for the best concert album of 2019 from ResMusica . On November 1st, 2019 his fourth CD "The Russian Album" was released on the label AVIE Records.

Christoph Croisé plays a Goffriller violoncello, which was built in Venice in 1712 .
