Christoph Minhoff

Christoph Minhoff (* 17th September 1959 in Duisburg ) is a German journalist , television host , author and food - a lobbyist . He is currently chief executive of the Food Association Germany and the Federation of German Food Industry BVE . Before that, he was program manager for ZDF at the events and documentation channel of ARD and ZDF Phoenix .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1979 and completing basic military service in Hamburg, Minhoff studied political science and history in Munich in 1981 . He then completed an internship at the weekly newspaper Bayernkurier , where he worked as an editor from 1984 to 1989. From 1989 to 1992, Minhoff worked as a freelancer at Bayerischer Rundfunk in the editorial department of the political magazine Report Munich and made several documentaries. In the following period, from 1992 to 1994, he was editor of the Zeitspiegel , whose moderator and deputy editor-in-chief he became in 1994, and worked as a live reporter for election programs on Bavarian television .

From July 1995 to February 2005, Minhoff was head of the ZDF regional studio in Bavaria in Unterföhring / Munich district . From March 1, 2005 to September 30, 2012, he was program director of the event and documentation channel Phoenix together with Michael Hirz . Here Minhoff moderated the discussion program Unter den Linden and the Forum Pariser Platz .

On October 1, 2012, Minhoff gave up his position at Phoenix and became General Manager of the BLL (now the German Food Association ) and BVE . For his work for the associations, he received the Association Communicator of the Year 2019 award ( mediaV Award ) in April 2019 .

Christoph Minhoff wrote books about new religious movements and the psycho cult Scientology . Since 2013 he has published the industry blog Filetspitzen , in which he positions himself among other things towards politics and NGOs . He hosts the policy-Webtalkshows kitchen cabinet (in cooperation with the magazine Cicero ) and Berlin recipes (a format of the food magazine ).
