Christopher Krieg (born April 16, 1961 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German actor .

Life

Krieg attended the New Munich Drama School from 1982 to 1984 and passed his stage qualification examination in 1985 . He also took part in the mastery course at the Actors Institute in London.

In addition to long-term permanent engagements at the Heilbronn Theater, the Münster City Theater and the Wiesbaden State Theater, he worked as a freelancer at theaters in Hamburg, Frankfurt, Munich, Stuttgart, Essen and Düsseldorf, at open-air festivals in Ettlingen, Mayen, Wunsiedel and Heppenheim, as well as for various German touring theaters. His repertoire of roles includes Benedict in Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing , Petruchio in The Taming of the Shrew , Rocky in The Rocky Horror Show , Fiesko in The Fiesco Conspiracy to Genoa , Prospero in The Tempest , Jupiter in Amphitryon , the eponymous hero in Cyrano de Bergerac and Bertie in The King's Speech . He worked with the directors Günther Fleckenstein , Gerhard Klingenberg , Elke Lang , Nikolaus Paryla , Charles Regnier , Dietrich Hilsdorf , Friederich Schütter , Heinz Kreidl and Ernst Stankovski , Jean-Claude Berutti . In addition to his theater work, Christopher Krieg has appeared in numerous television productions and also works as a spokesperson for dubbing and audio book publishers.

In 2016 he was awarded the Audience Award for the performance of Goethe's Götz von Berlichingen at the Jagsthausen Castle Festival.
