The Evangelical Lutheran , listed Christ Church is in Oesterbehringen , a part of Behringen , a district of the Hörselberg-Hainich community in the Wartburg district of Thuringia . The Church in Oesterbehringen belongs to the parish of Great Behringen in the parish association Behringen the west of the region church district Gotha of the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .

The stately hall church was built between 1689 and 1692. The coat of arms of those from Wangenheim / Winterstein on the southern portal bears the year 1690. The pulpit stands on a column entwined with wine , the sound cover shows the risen Christ . The organ built by Johann Valentin Knauf in 1825 with 23 registers , divided into 2 manuals and pedal , was restored by Orgelbau Waltershausen in 1996–2002 . The church was renovated in 1935 and 1969, and the entire restoration in 1994.
