Cléopâtre loanux (born July 1, 1989 in Mulhouse , France ) is a French handball player who belongs to the squad of the French national handball team.
Career
Kreditux began playing handball at US Wittenheim / Ensisheim and then played at HBC Kingersheim. From 2005 the goalkeeper ran for ES Besançon, of which she was a member of the first division. In 2006 she moved to the French first division club Issy-les-Moulineaux Handball , for which she played three seasons. In 2009 she joined the league rivals Metz Handball . After she won the French Cup and League Cup with Metz in her first season, she won the championship and the French Cup in the following season.
Loanux moved to Arvor 29 - Pays de Brest in summer 2011 . In preparation for the season, an abscess had formed on the cornea of her right eye, which made her almost blind. Her eyesight has been reduced since then, but she is not allowed to use contact lenses . Because of this, she wears sports glasses in games . In the 2011/12 season she won the championship and the league cup with Brest. From summer 2012 she guarded the gate of the Danish club Viborg HK . In the 2013/14 season she won the championship, the Danish Cup and the European Cup Winners' Cup . In the summer of 2014 she joined OGC Nice . She has been under contract with Brest Bretagne Handball since the 2016/17 season . Since April 2019 she has been on pause due to pregnancy.
Loanux has played 154 games for the French selection so far. The right-hander took part in the 2012 Olympic Games with the French team. In 2017 she won the world title. She was also active for France at the 2009 , 2011 and 2013 World Championships and at the 2008 , 2010 and 2012 European Championships .
