Clem Burke (born November 24, 1955 in New York City , New York ) is an American drummer and member of the band Blondie . He formed the band with Chris Stein and Debbie Harry and stayed with them until they broke up. He was also at the Blondie's reunion in the late 1990s.

In the 1980s and 1990s, when Blondie was broken up, Burke played drums for Checkered Past , The Romantics (from 1990 to 2004), Pete Townshend , Bob Dylan , the Eurythmics , Dramarama , Iggy Pop and Joan Jett, among others . Also with the Ramones , he filled two appearances in August 1987 under the name Elvis Ramone, the vacant position of drummer after the sudden departure of Richie Ramones . On October 8, 2004 he appeared again under the name Elvis Ramone together with Tommy and CJ Ramone and Daniel Rey at the Ramones concert "Ramones Beat on Cancer" (German: "The Ramones defeat cancer", an allusion to the title of Ramones Beat on the Brat and related to the cancer death Johnny Ramones ).

In 2004 and 2005 he toured with Nancy Sinatra .

In 2016, Rolling Stone listed him 61st of the 100 best drummers of all time .
