The Métropole Toulon-Provence-Méditerranée is a French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Métropole in the department of Var in the region Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur . It was founded on December 31, 2001 and comprises twelve parishes. The administrative headquarters are in the city of Toulon .

Historical development

The association originally founded as the Communauté d'agglomération Toulon Provence Méditerranée was raised to the legal form of a metropolis with effect from January 1, 2018 and renamed to the current name.
