The Communauté de communes Berry Grand Sud is a French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the department of Cher in the region Center-Val de Loire . It was founded on January 1, 2015 and comprises 32 parishes. The administrative headquarters are in Châteaumeillant .

Historical development

The community association was created in 2015 through the merger of the two predecessor organizations "Communauté de communes Boischaut-Marche" and "Communauté de communes Terres du Grand Meaulne" under the name "Communauté de communes Boischaut-Marche et Terres du Grand Meaulne". However, on May 12, 2015, this was renamed Communauté de communes Berry Grand Sud .

In 2016, the municipality of Saint-Vitte joined the municipal association. She previously belonged to the Communauté de communes du Val de Cher .
