Épineuil-le-Fleuriel is a French municipality with 443 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Cher in the region Center-Val de Loire ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Saint-Amand-Montrond and the canton of Châteaumeillant (until 2015: canton of Saulzais-le-Potier ). The inhabitants are called Épineuillois .
geography
Épineuil-le-Fleuriel is about 65 kilometers south of Bourges . The Canal de Berry runs to the east of the municipality . The Cher River limits the municipality to the east. Épineuil-le-Fleuriel is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saulzais-le-Potier in the north and north-west, La Celette in the north, Meaulne in the east and north-east, Vallon-en-Sully in the south and south-east, Saint-Vitte in the south-west and Vesdun in the west .
The A71 autoroute runs through the municipality .
