Marçais is about 41 kilometers south of Bourges . Marçais is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Morlac in the north and west, Vallenay in the northeast, Orcenais in the east, Arcomps and Loye-sur-Arnon in the southeast, Ardenais in the south and Saint-Pierre-les-Bois in the southwest.
