Touchay is a French municipality with 262 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Cher in the region Center-Val de Loire ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Saint-Amand-Montrond and the canton of Châteaumeillant (until 2015: canton of Lignières ).

geography

Touchay is about 42 kilometers south-southwest of Bourges . The Arnon River , into which the Sinaise flows here, runs in the municipality . Touchay is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Lignières in the north, Ineuil in the northeast, Ids-Saint-Roch in the east, Maisonnais in the south, Rezay in the south and southwest and Saint-Hilaire-en-Lignières in the west and northwest.
