Nérondes is a French commune with 1,481 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Cher in the region Center-Val de Loire ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Saint-Amand-Montrond and is part of the canton of La Guerche-sur-l'Aubois (until 2015: canton of Nérondes ).

geography

Nérondes is located about 33 kilometers east-southeast of Bourges on the Airin , which rises here like the Vauvise River. Nérondes is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Baugy with Laverdines in the north and north-west, Chassy in the north, Saint-Hilaire-de-Gondilly in the east, La Guerche-sur-l'Aubois in the south-east, Ignol in the south and south-east, Tendron in the south and Bengy -sur-Craon in the west. The former Route nationale 76 (today's D976) runs through the municipality from Bourges to Nevers .
