Menetou-Couture is a commune of 365 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Cher in the region Center-Val de Loire ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Saint-Amand-Montrond and is part of the canton of La Guerche-sur-l'Aubois (until 2015: canton of Nérondes ). The inhabitants are called Menetou-Couturois or Monestrocouturois .

Menetou-Couture is about 43 kilometers east-southeast of Bourges . Menetou-Couture is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Précy in the north, Marseilles-lès-Aubigny in the northeast, Jouet-sur-l'Aubois in the east, Torteron in the east and southeast, Le Chautay in the south, and Saint-Hilaire-de-Gondilly in the west as well as Garigny in the northwest.
