Cuffy is a French commune with 1,075 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Cher in the region Center-Val de Loire ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Saint-Amand-Montrond and is part of the canton of La Guerche-sur-l'Aubois .

geography

Cuffy is the easternmost municipality in the Cher department. It is located about 52 kilometers east-southeast of Bourges and about eight kilometers west-southwest of Nevers at the confluence of the Allier with the Loire , which borders the municipality in the east, and on the Canal latéral à la Loire . Cuffy is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Cours-les-Barres in the north, Marzy in the east and northeast, Gimouille in the east and southeast, Apremont-sur-Allier in the south, La Guerche-sur-l'Aubois in the west and southwest, Le Chautay in the West as well as Torteron in the northwest.
