Torteron is located about 43 kilometers east-southeast of Bourges and about 15 kilometers west-northwest of Nevers on the Canal de Berry . Torteron is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Jouet-sur-l'Aubois in the north, Cours-les-Barres in the east, Cuffy in the south-east, Le Chautay in the south and Menetou-Couture in the west and north-west.
