Connor Swift (born October 30, 1995 in Thorne ) is a British cyclist .

Athletic career

Connor Swift began his athletic career as a triathlete before focusing on cycling. From 2015 he started with various national criteria .

In 2017 Swift got a contract with the UCI Continental Team Madison Genesis . In 2018 he was surprisingly British road racing champion, the first British road champion after a decade to not belong to a UCI WorldTeam (most recently Kristian House in 2009). A little later he finished second in the overall ranking of Kreiz Breizh Elites . From August 1st until the end of the year he worked as a trainee for Dimension Data .

In May 2019 Swift finished ninth in the Tour de Yorkshire . Shortly afterwards he signed a contract with Arkéa-Samsic , André Greipel's team .

Connor Swift is a cousin of racing cyclist Ben Swift .
