Jeremy Hunt (born March 12, 1974 in Macklin , Saskatchewan , Canada ) is a sports director and former British cyclist .

Athletic career

Jeremy Hunt got a contract with the Banesto cycling team in 1996 , where he rode for four years. The sprinter scored its first victories in 1997 at the Tour de l'Avenir and the Tour of Aragon . In 1998 he won two stages in the Tour of Portugal and in 1999 one in the Vuelta a Castilla y León . In the 2000 season he moved to the French team BigMat-Auber 93 , started at the Olympic Games in Sydney in the road race , which he did not finish.

In the following three years he won stages in the Herald Sun Tour , the Mediterranean Tour and the Circuit Franco-Belge . In 2002 he had the greatest success of his career: he won the highly rated French one-day race GP Ouest France-Plouay . From 2004 Hunt drove for the Belgian team MrBookmaker.com and from 2006 for Unibet.com .

In 2008 he signed with Crédit Agricole . He then drove for two years for the Cervélo TestTeam and another two years for Sky ProCycling .

At the end of the 2012 season he ended his career and became sporting director of the Continental Team Synergy Baku Cycling Project .
