Consent to Treatment is the second studio album by the US rock band Blue October . It was produced between 1999 and 2000 and released on August 15, 2000. It is the band's first album under the major Universal Records label . It contains 14 songs, including the two singles HRSA and James . The producer was Nick Launay at Box 7 Studios in Valley Village and at Media Vortex Studios in Burbank , California . Since this album did not sell well, the band was dropped from the label, but the contract was renewed when the band produced a successful album with History for Sale .
