Argue with a Tree is the first live album by the American alternative rock band Blue October . It was recorded live on June 4, 2004 during the concert at the Lakewood Theater in Dallas , Texas . The album was released on September 15, 2004 and was distributed by Brando Records and Universal Records . The set includes songs from all previously released albums that were played at the concert in Dallas. The CD also contains the unreleased song PRN , for which guitarist Piper Dagnino was a guest musician. The title of the album was incorporated into the song Weight Of The World from the album Foiled . This album tells the story of singer Justin Furstenfeld and his relationship with his ex-girlfriend Amanda.
