Constantin Bauer (painter)
Constantin Ludwig Bauer (born August 28, 1852 in Trostberg ; † March 23, 1924 ) was a German painter . Numerous landscape watercolors come from Bauer .
Life
Bauer studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich from 1869 to 1873 . When Alexander Wagner , he learned figure painting, with Johann Leonhard Raab the engraving .
In 1878 Bauer moved to Obermais ( South Tyrol ). There he devoted himself to landscape painting.
He was Christian Morgenstern's best man - they had known each other since childhood - when he married Margareta Gosebruch von Liechtenstern on March 7, 1910.
