action
Louden Swain is in high school and is on his school's wrestling team. He has just turned 20 and wants to achieve something meaningful in his life. He plans to challenge wrestler Brian Shute, a three-time state champion attending nearby Hoover High School. This one has never lost. Swain's decision leads to an argument with his coach and unrest in his team. He also endangers his health through his training. Original title

criticism
“Successful attempt to combine a serious love story with the topic of self-realization through sport. The calm, reflective staging goes hand in hand with precise descriptions of the milieu and credible characterization of the people. "
