The 8th Czech Cycling Tour 2017 was a Czech road bike race . The stage race took place from August 10th to 13th, 2017 . It was part of the UCI Europe Tour 2017 and classified there in category 2.1 . Overall winner was the Czech Josef Černý from the Elkov Author Cycling Team .

The first stage was an 18.6 km individual time trial around Uničov . This was won by the Elkov-Author Cycling Team . The Pole Paweł Cieślik took over the overall lead because he was the first of his team to cross the finish line. Bora-hansgrohe finished second, three seconds behind .

At the beginning of the second stage, five riders around the Austrian Daniel Lehner (Felbermayr-Simplon Wels) separated. The outliers had a lead of a maximum of four minutes and were all 35 kilometers from the finish. Shortly afterwards, Alessandro Tonelli (Italy / Bardiani) and Michael Kukrl (Czech Republic / Elkov) attacked. But they were caught up again and so it came to the mass sprint. Sam Bennett (Ireland / Bora) won this ahead of Jan Tratnik (Slovenia / CCC). Bennett took over the overall lead.

For a long time, a four-man escape group around the Austrian Matthias Krizek (Tyrol) determined the third stage . They got a four-minute lead and were caught 30 kilometers from the finish. Then the two Austrians Felix Großschartner (CCC) and Riccardo Zoidl (Felbermayr-Simplon Wels) attacked. They were caught ten kilometers from the finish. Then Jan Bárta (Czech Republic / Bora-hansgrohe), Josef Černý (Czech Republic / Elkov Author), Rasmus Guldhammer (Denmark / Velonconcept) and Jan Hirt (Czech Republic / CCC) drove away. When Barta attacked, only Cerny followed him. In the end the two sprinted. Cerny won over Barta. Third was Guldhammer, three seconds behind. Cerny took the overall lead.

At the beginning, eight drivers led by Juraj Sagan (Slovakia / Bora) and Maximilian Kuen (Austria / Amplatz) separated. The group was never more than two minutes ahead of the field. In the final of the stage, the outliers were caught up with eleven men. It came to a mass sprint. Bennett (Bora) won this ahead of the Italian Filippo Fortin (Tyrol). Cerny defended the overall lead and thus won the entire tour.
