history

The name of the community Dänschendorf was officially changed to Dänschendorf on Fehmarn on January 1, 1975 .

location

Worth seeing

Besides some farms from the 18th century, the thatched windmill Flinke Laura is worth seeing in Dänschendorf . It was built in 1871, but is now used exclusively for residential purposes and no longer has any wings. The mill rises on the southern edge of the village, not far from the road to Petersdorf . Originally there were 17 windmills on Fehmarn, but apart from the Flinken Laura only the Südermühle in Petersdorf and the Dutch windmill Jachen Flünk in Lemkenhafen have survived .

Dänschendorf has a restaurant and various holiday apartments.

In the center there are two village ponds, which are surrounded by green spaces.
