Daniel Cosgrove
Daniel Thomas Cosgrove (born December 16, 1970 in New Haven , Connecticut ) is an American actor . He gained fame primarily through the role of Matt Durning in the television series 90210 .
life and career
Daniel Cosgrove was born in the city of New Haven, Connecticut, and grew up with a brother in the city of Branford . In 1989 he graduated from Notre Dame High School in West Haven .
He has been an actor since 1996 after taking on the role of Scott Chandler in the soap opera All My Children . He played this role until 2011. In 1998 he was seen in a small role in love in every relationship for the first time in a feature film. In the same year he was cast for the role of Matt Durning in the drama series 90210 . He played this role for 50 episodes up to the year 2000. Then he was in small supporting roles in films such as Scream If You Can , Crawlers or Party Animals - Wilder is not possible! . In 2001 he was Dr. Brad Sterling appeared in a supporting role on All Souls . In 2006 he took on a supporting role in the series In Justice as Jon Lemonick , followed in 2007 by one in Dirty Sexy Money .
In addition to his role in All My Children , Cosgrove also appeared in the soap operas Springfield Story (2002-2009) and Young and Passionate - How Life Works (2010). He moved back from Los Angeles to New York City for the role in the former series and was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award in the category Best Supporting Actor in 2008 and 2009 .
After his time in the soap operas, Cosgrove also increasingly appeared in guest roles on US television, for example in The Forgotten , Good Wife , Unforgettable , Person of Interest , Elementary , Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and as Dan Margolis in a minor supporting role in Billions . Private
On October 18, 1997, he married Marie Cosgrove. Together they are parents of four children, three daughters (* 2000, 2003 and 2005) and one son (* 2009).
