Daniel Sunjata

Daniel Sunjata (* the 30th December 1971 in Evanston , Illinois , as Daniel Sunjata Condon ) is an American actor .

life and career

Daniel Sunjata grew up with adoptive parents . His ancestors are of African American , Irish, and German descent. He attended Florida A&M University , the University of Southwestern Louisiana and New York University .

Sunjata began his film career in 1998 in the film Twelfth Night, or What You Will , which is based on the novel from What you want by William Shakespeare . 2000 then followed a leading role in the series DC on the side of Mark-Paul Gosselaar . From 2000 to 2004 he was seen in 16 episodes as a bomb defuser in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit . During this time he also made appearances on the series Sex and the City and Ed - The Bowling Lawyer, as well as in the film Melinda and Melinda . From 2004 to 2011 he was seen as Franco Rivera in the series Rescue Me . In 2007 he had a lead role in the miniseries The Bronx Is Burning . In 2009 he played the role of Brad in the movie The Womanizer - The Night of Ex-Girlfriends . A year later followed the role of Eli Lloyd in a total of eight episodes of the series Grey's Anatomy .
