Daredevil vs. Spider-Man - Duel of the Powers ( English : Daredevil vs. Spider-Man ) is a compilation of four episodes of the animated series New Spider-Man . This compilation was marketed as a 77-minute film.

Peter Parker, Spider-Man's alter ego , has found a job with Richard Fisk as a data security officer . What he doesn't suspect, however, is that Fisk is none other than gang boss Kingpin. In fact, the data he backs up is stolen government intelligence. So he gets targeted by the FBI . His public defense is none other than Matt Murdock, star lawyer and also a superhero named Daredevil . Peter ends up in custody , but the kingpin frees him on the way to the prison cell. So he tries to put the blame on Peter. Just before he is eliminated, Daredevil saves him. Together, the two try to turn off the kingpin's criminal empire. They manage to free Peter from all charges, but the kingpin sacrifices his son to be released himself. Daredevil has to leave New York.
Alone again, Spider-Man tries to get his old life back. But Harry Osborn and Mary Jane want to get married, much to Parker's displeasure. Smythe appears at a press conference at which Norman Osborn is also present. The kingpin turned the scientist into a cyborg. But instead of chasing Spider-Man, he wants revenge on the Osborns. Because he thinks that Norman killed his father. In reality, it is an intrigue by the kingpin who keeps Smyhe's father captive in a cryochamber. The Kingpin arrives just in time and stuns Smythe, but also kidnaps Harry and Mary Jane. Spider-Man rescues the two of them from the kingpin's clutches and can get Smythe to take action against his boss. Smythe frees his father and flees. The kingpin can escape. Mary Jane eventually breaks off the engagement.
In the last episode, Spider-Man supports Robbie Robertson in the fight against his old friend Tombstone, who is supposed to prevent Alisha Silvermain from printing a stressful story. Tombstone uses Robbie's son, whom he wants to include in his gang, as leverage. However, Spider-Man manages to thwart this perfidious plan.

The full season aired in 1996. The DVD with the compilation was released in 2003 via Buena Vista and Disney . As a bonus, Dr. Doom contains the first episode of the second season of the animated series The Fantastic Four with new adventures , as well as several interviews with Stan Lee , the creator of Spider-Man and Daredevil.
