Darko Anić (born March 5, 1974 in Aranđelovac ) is a former Serbian football player .

Career

For the 1993/94 season Anić moved from the U-19 of his club FK Borac Čačak to the first team. From there it went to FK Vojvodina after the next season . He stayed there for a season to join the Red Star Belgrade team. Anić had one of his first missions at the European Cup Winners' Cup , where he played in the first round both in the first and second leg against 1. FC Kaiserslautern . In the second leg of the round of 16 against FC Barcelona he was on the field again.

After one season, Anić's time at Red Star was over again, after which he moved to Belgium for Club Bruges for the 1997/98 season. There he played in the qualification for the UEFA Champions League both in the first and second leg against Sileks Kratovo and later in the UEFA Cup . In the league Anić came to 52 appearances and ten goals. In 2000 he moved to Siirtspor in Turkey . Already for the 2001/02 season Anić moved back to Belgium, this time to KAA Gent . For this he played in the UI Cup from the 2nd round in every game and was even able to score a goal in the party at Werder Bremen . He made it this season with his team to the semifinals, where they were eliminated against Paris Saint-Germain . In the league Anić came in 26 appearances on two goals this season. The 2002/03 season, however, he was not to end in Gent , but he moved to Germany for LR Ahlen in the 2nd Bundesliga . There Anić came by the end of the season on twelve missions in which he scored three goals.

At the end of the season, his time in Germany ended and Anić moved to China to join Shandong Luneng Taishan . There he stayed until the end of the 2004/05 season, after which he moved to Portugal to Nacional Funchal . In the 2005/06 season he was used in six games in the Portuguese first division and was able to score one goal. In the second half of the season Anić was loaned to Rio Ave FC , where he was used in four games. Anić spent his last season in Saudi Arabia with al-Ahli , after which he retired from his career.
