Darryl Boyce (born July 7, 1984 in Summerside , Prince Edward Island ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who was most recently under contract with the Düsseldorfer EG in the German Ice Hockey League .
Career
Darryl Boyce began his career as a hockey player with the Toronto St. Michael's Majors , for which he was active from 2001 to 2005 in the Canadian Junior League Ontario Hockey League . He then played for two years for the University of New Brunswick team , before Attacker was awarded a free agent contract with the Toronto Marlies in April 2007 .
For the Marlies he scored a total of 24 scorer points in 41 games in the 2007/08 season in the American Hockey League , including eight goals. In addition, the left shooter made his debut in the National Hockey League for the Toronto Maple Leafs , whose farm team are the Toronto Marlies. On January 1, 2008 Boyce received an NHL contract with the Maple Leafs, but played exclusively for the Marlies in the AHL in the 2008/09 and 2009/10 seasons .
On February 25, 2012, shortly before the trade deadline , the Columbus Blue Jackets selected the striker on the waiver list and secured his services.
During the 2012/13 season, which he started with the AHL club Hamilton Bulldogs , he moved to Finland, where he played for JYP Jyväskylä . The following season 2013/14 spent Boyce then again in the AHL and wore the shirt of the Springfield Falcons .
From 2014 to 2016 he played again for the Finnish first division club JYP Jyväskylä and then moved to ERC Ingolstadt in the German Ice Hockey League (DEL) in May 2016 .
International
Boyce represented Team Canada Atlantic at the 2001 World U-17 Hockey Challenge .
