Dashon Hugh Goldson (* 18th September 1984 in Carson , California ) is a former American American football poker players in the position of safety .

Early years

Goldson went to high school in Harbor City , a borough of Los Angeles . He later went to the University of Washington , where he played football for the university's college football team between 2003 and 2006 .

NFL

San Francisco 49ers

Goldson was selected in the fourth round of the 2007 NFL Draft as the 126th player by the San Francisco 49ers . In his first season he was intended as a backup for the 49ers-Safety Mark Roman and he played ten games. As of 2009 he was the first choice for his position. He completed all 16 games as a starter, got 94 tackles, 4 interceptions and 3 forced fumbles . In the 2010 season he achieved his first touchdown . In 2011 and 2012 he was elected to the Pro Bowl .

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

On March 13, 2013, he moved to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers . On September 16, 2013, in the game against the New Orleans Saints, he tackled their running back Darren Sproles with a "helmet-to-helmet hit", for which he was banned from one game by the NFL. Goldson also had to pay a $ 100,000 fine.

Washington Redskins

On April 3, 2015, Goldson was traded to the Washington Redskins . Here he was appointed captain of the defensive. On March 7, 2016, however, he was released again.

Atlanta Falcons
