David Harewood
David Harewood , MBE (born December 8, 1965 in Birmingham , England ) is a British actor .
Life
He has appeared in numerous TV productions (including Hustle , Strike Back , Doctor Who ) and movies (including Strings , Beloved Lies and Blood Diamond ). He became known to a larger audience in Germany for his role in the US television series Homeland , in which he played David Estes , head of the CIA's anti-terrorism unit . Since 1991 he has appeared in more than 70 film and television productions. In 2004, he played a prince in The Merchant of Venice ( The Merchant of Venice ). Since 2015 he can be seen in the series Supergirl .
Harewood has been a member of the Order of the British Empire since 2011 . He has been married since 2013 and has two children.
