The letter refers to the fact that Chinkin had already signed a letter prior to the investigation, in which she "came to the conclusion that Israel had violated international law." However, Chinkin was not removed from the fact-finding mission and helped produce the Goldstone Report .

Organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners in China
In July 2006, David Matas published the Kilgour Matas Investigation Report together with former prosecutor and Canadian Secretary of State David Kilgour PC . In their investigation report, they mention that "the organ sources of 41,500 organ transplants from 2000 to 2005 are unclear" and that they believe "there has been and is still extensive organ harvesting from involuntary Falun Gong ." their updated investigation report in book form. After publication and delivery to the United Nations, they traveled to over 50 countries to educate governments, human rights organizations, medical circles and the public about this state-sanctioned crime that they themselves described as the "new form of evil on our planet". In 2012, Matas stated that there are still no explainable organ sources for the organ transplants that took place in China between 2000 and 2005 .
In 2012, David Matas and Dr. med. Torsten Trey in "State Bodies: Transplant Abuse in China" Articles by Professor of Medicine Dr. Gabriel Danovitch, Professor of Bioethics Arthur Caplan , Cardiopulmonary Surgeon Dr. med. Jacob Lavee, Dr. med. Ghazali Ahmad, Professor of Geriatrics Maria Fiatarone Singh, Dr. med. Torsten Trey, investigative journalist Ethan Gutmann and David Matas. Investigative journalist Ethan Gutmann interviewed over 100 witnesses and estimates that between 2000 and 2008, 65,000 Falun Gong practitioners were killed for their organs.
On November 10, 2015, David Matas and David Kilgour pointed out in their speech at TEDxMünchen that nothing has changed in the crime of state-sanctioned organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners, only some hospitals no longer continue to do so, so blatantly to advertise it. In addition, the Chinese government still fails to answer where the organs for the transplants come from.
On June 22, 2016, David Matas published the jointly prepared investigation report "Bloody Harvest / The Slaughter - An Update" together with David Kilgour and Ethan Gutmann . The 680-page report is a forensic analysis of over 2,300 Chinese documents and website information and comes to the conclusion that the real number of organ transplants in China is kept secret by the Chinese government (the report assumes 60,000 to 100,000 organ transplants annually) ; the organs for the high number of organ transplants found come from killed innocent Uyghurs , Tibetans , domestic Christians, and mainly Falun Gong practitioners; and organ harvesting is a crime in China involving the Communist Party, state institutions, the health system, hospitals and transplant doctors.
Canadian Bar Association - Constitutional Affairs Committee
David Matas is a member of the Canadian Bar Association . In 1977, following the election of the separatist Parti Québécois to government, he was asked to serve on the Constitutional Committee of the Canadian Bar Association. The members of the committee came from each province of Canada and consisted of two future Prime Ministers of Canadian provinces, future judges of the highest court of Canada, two future state judges and a future Canadian ambassador to the United Nations. At the next annual meeting in 1978, the committee presented its report to the Canadian Bar Association. The committee presented extensive recommendations for constitutional amendments, including a completely new constitution, the abolition of the monarchy, the amendment of the Senate, the anchoring of language rights and a corresponding bill, as well as the shift of the balance of power between the federal government and the provinces.
