occupation

Der Deichking is an independent North German film project by Michael Söth in which many stars of the North German music scene appear largely free of charge. The film shows elements of the North German way of life. The shooting took place in August 2006 near Elmshorn . A forerunner is the Deichelvis from 1995 , which has achieved cult status in insider circles .

action

The main character of the film is the farmer Fiete Hansen (John Barron), who lives in a small village called Kollmar right on the Elbe dike. One day he falls in love with Susi (Julia Köhn), through whom he gets to know rock 'n' roll . Inspired by rock 'n' roll, he wants to get out of the small village and see the world.

Specialty

A "special" of the project was that you could act as a "small film producer" yourself. For a contribution of € 75 to finance the film, you received a fanset (including a DVD of the film) and, if desired, a mention in the credits of the film.
