Delphine Pelletier (born June 16, 1977 in Bourges ) is a former French triathlete . She is military world triathlon champion (2003, 2004), vice-European champion (2008) and eight-time triathlon state champion on the short and long distance (between 2002 and 2013). Pelletier is included in the best list of French triathletes on the Ironman distance .

Career

Delphine Pelletier has been competing in the triathlon since 1995. She studied at the sports center Institut national du sport et de l'éducation physique (INSEP) in Paris until 1998 .

In 1996 she was fourth at the European Championships and fifth at the Junior World Championships.

In 2002 she became French state champion on the short distance triathlon in Autun and she was able to successfully defend this title the following year.

Military world champion triathlon 2003

From 2002 to 2013 she trained as a professional soldier in the French armed forces ( Armée de Terre ). In July 2003 she became the military world triathlon champion.

Motherhood 2005

Pelletier took a break in 2005 after the birth of their daughter.

In 2008 she achieved the European runner-up title in the long distance in Gérardmer (4 km swimming, 120 km cycling and 30 km running) and in 2008 she was the third time national champion in the short triathlon.

In June 2012 she was third in the European championship in the middle distance as part of the Challenge Kraichgau and in August she was sixth in the Ironman 70.3 European Championship in Wiesbaden.
In September she won the Triathlon de Gérardmer in the middle distance (1.9 km swimming, 93 km cycling and 21 km running) - after having already achieved second place three times.

In May 2013 she became French state champion in the long distance for the fifth time and in her first Ironman start she achieved third place in June in Nice.

In 2013 she ended her active career. Delphine Pelletier lives in Saint-Laurent-du-Var .
