Vice Chair
After the Democrats' victory in the 2006 midterm elections , an overwhelming majority at the conference wanted Chuck Schumer , then chairman of the Senatorial Democratic Campaign Committee, to hold a position in the leadership hierarchy. Democratic politician Harry Reid created the position of vice chairman when the Democrats officially took control in 2007. After Reid's resignation after the 2016 elections, Schumer took over the chairmanship and Reid's position. Since 2017 there are two vice-chairs of the Democratic Caucus.
- Chuck Schumer (2007-2017)
- Mark Warner and Elizabeth Warren (since 2017)
