Denis Shevyrin (born March 29, 1995 in Saint Petersburg ) is a German ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Kassel Huskies in the DEL2 since May 2019 .

Career

Shevyrin began playing ice hockey at the age of four in his native Saint Petersburg at Tornado Saint Petersburg . From 2008 to 2011 he played in the school team of the Krefeld EV . Shevyrin was his team's top scorer in the 2009/10 season. From 2011 to 2013 he played for the KEV in the German Junior League . He then moved to the North American Hockey League for the Minnesota Magicians. He graduated from high school while in the United States .

For the season 2015/16 returned Shevyrin back to Germany and signed a contract with the Iserlohn Roosters of the German Ice Hockey League . He also received a sponsorship license for the cooperation partner SC Bietigheim-Bissingen from the DEL2 and the Herner EV from the Oberliga .

In the 2018/19 season, Denis Shevyrin played for the second division club EC Bad Nauheim , and since May 2019 for the Kassel Huskies .

International

Shevyrin first played in the World U-17 Hockey Challenge for Germany in 2012 . He was also part of the German squad at the U18 Junior World Championships in 2012 and 2013 . During the preparation for the U20 World Junior Championship in 2015 , he was deleted from the last squad reduction before the start of the tournament.
