The Dos de Abril Department is located in the southwest of the Chaco Province in northwest Argentina and is one of the province's 25 administrative units .
It borders on the Doce de Octubre Department in the north, the Mayor Luis Jorge Fontana Department in the east, the Fray Justo Santa María de Oro Department in the south and the Doce de Octubre and Fray Justo Santa María de Oro Department in the west .
The capital of the Dos de Abril Department is Hermoso Campo . It is 250 kilometers from the provincial capital Resistencia and around 1,100 kilometers from Buenos Aires .
