The Department of Presidencia de la Plaza is located in the center of the Chaco Province in northwest Argentina and is one of 25 administrative units in the province.

It borders on the Sargento Cabral Department in the north, the General Donovan Department in the east, the Tapenagá Department in the south and the Veinticinco de Mayo Department in the west .

The capital of the Department of Presidencia de la Plaza is the Presidencia de la Plaza of the same name . It is 100 kilometers from the provincial capital Resistencia and 1,120 kilometers from Buenos Aires .

National park
