The Itatí department is located in the north of the Corrientes province in northeast Argentina and is one of the province's 25 administrative units .

In the north, separated by the Río Paraná , it borders on Paraguay , in the east on the department Berón de Astrada , in the south on the department San Luis del Palmar and in the west on the department San Cosme .

The capital of the Itatí department is the city of the same name Itatí .
