The Sauce Department is located in the south of the Corrientes province in northeast Argentina and is one of the province's 25 administrative units .

In the north and east it borders on the department of Curuzú Cuatiá , in the south on the province of Entre Ríos and in the west on the department of Esquina .

The capital of the Sauce department is the town of the same name, Sauce .
