The Ituzaingó Department is located in the north of the Corrientes Province in northeast Argentina and is one of the province's 25 administrative units .
In the north, separated by the Río Paraná , it borders on Paraguay , in the east on the province of Misiones , in the south on the departments of Santo Tomé , San Martín and Mercedes and in the west on the departments of Concepción and San Miguel .
Is the capital of the department of the same name Ituzaingó Ituzaingó near the Paraná River and the hydroelectric plant Yacyretá .
