The Saladas Department is located in the northwest of the Corrientes Province in northeast Argentina and covers an area of ​​1,981 km 2 . It is one of the province's 25 administrative units .

In the north it borders the department Empedrado , in the northeast with the department Mburucuyá , in the southeast with the departments San Roque and Concepción , in the south and southwest with the department Bella Vista and in the west, separated by the Río Paraná , with the province Santa Fe .
